But surely that is not monthly, and is he not entitled to free Presciptions.
He also gets £30 a month for holidays, no problem with that but if he doesn't go on holiday then this is extra as well.
To be honest I think that the fault lies with your father failing to adjust to his new lifestyle under br , also I cannot see by going back to court what you are hoping to achieve, as stated the OR has been generous in some areas .0 -
Is the OR aware he nows also receives the LRC? As this amounts to approximately £84 pcm then the OR may revise their allowance for gym membership on health grounds from income.
I agree with the others, it does seem he isn't learning how to budget post BR.
You say you have mental health issues, do you think your father has an element of this too? If so, is he receiving any help for this? I apologise if I sound nosey, but I'm wondering if it might make the difference in his understanding of how to run his finances. Thank you, I apologise I have removed the posts I made {{{Paranoid moment happening right now}}}. However please do not let this have a knock on effect of those of you who have commented and offered advice to me today, I appreciate it more than you will ever know.
@ Ineedaname Thanks, you know I said to my mum in the six months before she died ‘I would not hang around and care for my father when she was gone like I cared for her’ ... and here I am over two years later doing the exact thing I never wanted to do... I question will I ever break free and learn!
Thank you all again for your support in answering this question. It's given me hope that I will do something to sort out dad's money one way or another... because he cannot continue the way he is!
