Morphy Richards SteamGlide 2200 Steam Generator in Tesco

Options
Tesco's are selling the Morphy Richards SteamGlide 2200 Steam Generator Iron for <£50

I bought one yesturday - as it sounded so cheap - the question is am I being stupid - does cheap represent the quality - or will this be an amazing bargain. Almost all other brand ones seems a lot more (apart from a couple of unheard of makes)

Anyone know more than me?

Have you used it ? It must come with a year guarantee. I use water from the hot tap to fill mine,as my cold water tap is more "chalky" than the hot,

Morphy Richards all come with a two year warranty , so at that price you have got a really good deal.
Never pay more than you have too
  • you have to make sure you have the right ironing board to use the iron properly it needs to be a mesh board ,if not you will find yourself being burnt by the steam as it wont be able to pass through the clothes and will come out of the sides.....

Sounds like a decent iron does it say anywhere how many bars of pressure it has personally i would say anything less than 3 bars isnt really much good, but thats only my opinion i am sure someone will be alond soon to disagree lol
Will this hammy hunt ever end ???

Just found this one on the Morphy Richards site. Not a bad price as no postage and free fridge jug. your model does not seem to be available , so maybe its discontinued.

And i have put Baco foil under my ironing board cover. With my steam iron ,i found the carpet was getting damp from all the piles of ironing i was doing. The baco foil stops the steam going through, and makes ironing quicker as well.

doesnt that defeat the object of having a mesh ironing board???,the reason being so the steam passes all the way through the clothes and out the other side ????
