is lidl ski wear any good?

My 13 year old daughter is lucky enough to be going ski-ing with school in france next year. We are not a ski-ing family, none of us have ever been or are likely to go! I see that lidl has ski jackets and trousers next week, can anyone tell me if they are any good, will they keep her warm enough?
Thanks

  • As a seasoned snowboard/ski instructor, I would say depends on what you want it for...
Indoor ski slopes - absolutely fine.
A couple of hours on the slopes for spring skiing - not too bad if you layer underneath.
A full day in minus temperatures - NO NO NO.
You get what you pay for - some sales and ebay stuff can be cheaper than Lidl/Aldi.
I would NOT send my son(s) out on a school ski trip with Aldi/Lidl gear.
North Face, Westbeach, Burton, Salomon, Columbia, Helly Hansen, Trespass if pushed!
Decathlon is good too - and they do mail order.
My wife swears by Helly Hansen for women, great fit. Try mandmdirect.
Try to make sure it has a snow skirt! Stops lots of drafts and snow getting in up and down and round!
Posted on quick - grab bit too...

    As per the above.

Decent stuff will last too, I've had some of my stuff coming up to 9 years, used anything from a couple of weeks to a couple of months every year.
