I'd like to get a loan for a dental treatment, any advice? I'd need about £ 2000 and I have an account with HSBC, from what I understand if I borrow £ 1000 from them I will have to pay back £ 1100 over the course of a year, do you people know any better deals. Thanks

As above: Many dentists will offer interest free loans for treatment if you have good credit.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

thanks, I had no idea about that. But I will have to seek treatment abroad as it would be too expensive here in the UK, as far as I know for treatments abroad I will have to pay upfront0 -

thanks. I just applied last week and was refused, although I find it strange. I just bought a credit report from Callcredit but I found it very hard to figure out.....it's just a row of numbers with 'ok' everywhere and I don't understand where is the 'bad' part....
I have bought another from Experian a few days ago and didn't receive it yet....can't wait to see where the issue is. Thanks0 -
You may not have to go abroad. If you have the nerve, try negotiating. I managed to negotiate 20% off treatment that cost around £3K.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

wow, never thought you could negotiate a dentist's prices. I am definitely going to give it a try, I don't haggle over peanuts but I am definitely not ashamed to negotiate over something expensive. Thanks for the suggestion!0 -
If you go abroad you have to factor in allsorts of other possible expenses such as accommodation, food, travel insurance and a contingency in case things don't go to plan and you are stuck abroad for longer than you anticipate. If it is a cosmetic procedure I would definitely haggle the price and look into payment plans nearer home.DMP Mutual Support Thread member 244

and if it goes wrongDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
