It would be useful if you edited your post (#5 above) that gives the incorrect information on the tokens - they weren't in last week's papers - they're in the next 6 days starting now

    Thanks

    Z-man

Thank you, I have deleted my previous post now as the offer has obviously come back on.

    Thank you.

I went on three breaks this year using their similar Mirror 10 year anniversary offer.

I bought all the newspapers required but not one of the hotels asked for the vouchers!

The places I stayed were Killington Lakes (Kendal), Wetherby, and Tewkesbury.

Our experience was the exact opposite - used the offer at Cambridge, Killington and Gretna - on dates from February through to the summer - and all of them insisted on having the vouchers at check-in

So I'd say you will probably need the vouchers, and so do make sure you buy enough papers, and, obviously, make sure you keep the vouchers in a place you'll find them again!

Hi how do you find the £10 rooms? Many thanks

Go to http://www.daysinn.co.uk/mirror - the participating hotels are listed in the drop-down. Select one (click 'select') and the calendar with dates for that hotel come up.

Remember you'll need a voucher from the Daily Mirror for each night - but you don't need the vouchers until the day you go to the hotel, so not needed for booking and can be bought next week... (until Thursday). And I think the restriction is 3 nights, and 2 stays per booking name. But you can get round that if you have to with your partners name etc.

(Remember to press 'select' if you pick another one form the drop-down, otherwise it'll still display the calendar for the one you last 'selected' even if you've moved the drop-down to show another hotel - if you see what I mean.)
  • Wow, thank you so much, have booked two rooms for 2 nights, for myself and my friend, and are children, going to telford for 2 nights, feb half term, £20.00 each, bargain.
    so love these cheap deals.

Thanks for posting this great offer. I entered all my details inc my debit card details and at the end of my e-mail confirmation of my room booking at bottom is a message stating:

We require a valid credit card to confirm your reservation and guarantee your room. Any required deposit or pre-payment will be charged to this card in advance of your arrival. Otherwise, your card will not be charged until you check-out.

Does this just mean they will charge my card or does the message mean I need to phone to give my card details? Would be helpful to know if others got the message as if it is just me maybe I entered my card details wrong?

    Thanks xx

I think that's just a generic message they give every time - and for 'credit card' they mean debit or credit card. Everyone gets it - I got it today too, but I'm not worrying about it.

They wouldn't have sent you the confirmation if they needed payment still - the very fact you've got the confirmation indicates they got your details and will be soon or have already debited your card.

The whole nature of this offer is that they get authorisation for the discounted booking payment up-front. They're now gambling that you won't turn up and they get your £10 for nothing. (or that you turn up without your voucher(s) and they can charge you full rate!)

If you'd entered your card details wrong you'd have been rejected at check-out.
