bank of scotland threatening home visit

Got a card through today saying that a BoS rep will be calling at my home on tuesday,,,, i haven't had any phonecalls or default letters from them and am on a DMP (which by the by pays the £30 quid less than the minimum monthly payment!)

can they do this,, am not fooolish enough to let them in but what do i say,,,,

feel like it is all going so wrong at the moment:(

It's hard to say but it could be a scare tactic. I got a postcard type thingy through from MBNA last week saying they'd be calling by and if it was unsuitable to ring this number. CCCs told me to bin it and forget it.

Why not go out all day Tuesday and keep yourself busy.

Even if they do turn up you don't have to let them in and they have no power to remove goods or anything like that so they'd probably just use scare tactics to get you to pay them more. If they turn up just answer the door and don't let them in, but say any contact should be made through the company who are dealing with your DMP and shut the door.

thanks so much for your advice little L ---we seem to be in the same boat, i thought a DMP would stop all this ....sigh
