Does anyone know where I can go to try on medieval style wedding dresses? I really, really love the one in the link below, but really don't like the price.

And I do want to get married in a similar colour. I'm an older bride, so wouldn't feel comfortable in a strapless dress, even with a bolero. It is my first marriage btw, so I want a big frock.:D
I am quite happy to either make something similar myself (I'm quite handy with a sewing machine), or get a dressmaker to make something along the same lines. I just want to try a few gowns on to make sure that they suit me.
Really hoping someone has a few suggestions:).

They have some lovely dresses on preloved.co.uk - then you can search "medieval dresses" - can't see anything in the colour you like, and i don't know what size you are, but there are some lovely dresses. (there are two really nice ones on the second page) - can't post the links cause i'm a newbie!0

Also, on don't tell the bride recently, they have a period themed wedding and they hired dresses etc from a company that provide costumes for film and television - so that could be a cheaper option and you could get something authentic.0

I keep looking on there, and while they have plenty in my size (16), the problem is they're all too short for me - I'm 5' 8!:oGood enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j
