Thanks PAP! Our house is so much warmer now the wind doesn't whistle around the door! We will save quite a bit on our gas bill, so it was sort of money saving.........

hiya. Newbie to this thread, but as new year's resolution was to start my spending diary, might as well share it with you guys!
Took my 2 DS's and nephew to a kids indoor play area today. Already pay £ monthly membership and took drinks from home (they charge 90p for small bottle of juice!!!).... BUT still ended up spending £6.10 (hot chocolate for me and nephew & chips on the way home!)0 -

Bigish spend again for me as Sat is a shopping day;
butchers - £13.82 all our meat for the week
Greengrocers - £9.38 all veg and most of the fruit for the week
milk+ bread - £2.71
shoes reheeled - £10.50 (two pairs)
Bakery - £3.30 2xpacks of bread rolls a sandwich for DD3, sausage roll for DS2
£39.71 in total, could be worse;)
Oh also £22 pocket monies for 2DDs + DS2:rolleyes:

Just to update: £1.49 on toothbrushes (BOGOF) and some soap £0.88p. Not nearly as bad as i expected after all!:D

Late to the thread but I'm bored this morning and DS woke me up at 6.30am (why, why, why?! - he can't even get up at 8am on a school day!)
Yesterday I spent -
£2.49 McDonalds brekkie (well, I was working so I deserved it!)
£30 on a new wing mirror for car (necessity as due MOT soon)
£10 towards pizza at my brother and sis in laws (to thank him for servicing my car ready for MOT so technically a bargain!)
total £42.49
