20.1.07 what small DFW/MSE thing have you done or will you do today?

Hi everyone!

Today we have yet more stuff ending on ebay but I have still not put anything new on in the last couple of days, so must get off my backside and get listing again.

I will also be updating my grocery and petrol budgets to see how I am doing.

Today we are having a "chill" day, staying in playing board games and baking chocolate brownies with the children. We have all the ingredients in the cupboard so hopefully this will keep them amused without costing us any money.

And of course, being a good mummy, I will have to sample the results of the cooking. Just to be polite you understand ;)

What small DFW or MSE thing will you be doing today?

  • Helping some friends move house and being bought chinese tonight as a thank you. Can't wait, as we have not had a take out for months! Also I have got a 'leftover veg' soup on the go in the slow cooker. I will be freezing it up later and that is lunch sorted for the next few days!

  • Put DD's ps2 on amazon in the early hours, she probably only used it four times all told,. was thinking about e bay but I am a bit wary of it, so many people seem to have hassle with buyers etc, and it is a pain listing things. Amazon is much more user friendly to list etc but will have to see if it sells.
If not may stick it in local paper.

also listed a few more books as these are going well lately, although books are my downfall, I love buying them but hate parting with any:o :o

Not going into town today so won't be spending apart from DD's horseriding money.

    Nothing else to report

Frozen 2000g of mince cooked in slow cooker with some veg as base for spag bol, chilli etc (note to self - 2000g too much for slow cooker - mince expands when not watched  )

Have been to Morrisons and exclaimed '39P!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' at the top of my voice when I picked up a packet of Polo Mints....... :o .... put them back pdq!!!

Monitoring my 4 ebay items intently... 2 selling for total of £20.54 :D , all finish tomorrow. Need another £12 so I can withdraw free from paypal. Will be steaming an unfranked stamp off envelope to use as psotage on 1 item...:p

Tidying the garage later - don't think there's anything I can sell, but hey, someone's watching my empty perfume bottle so who knows.......;)

Quick ebay, amazon etc packing tip - foil wrapping paper and bubble wrap much lighter than padded bags, foil v strong.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I put a mobile phone on Amazon and got countless emails from people wanting me to send it to Nigeria etc. You won't lose anything but just to warn you to expect them anyway!

Baking cakes for DS to decorate, instead of those expensive kit things he was moaning for at the shop, will be 'interesting' as he wants green cakes

Only spending will be free money from paypal account from eBay sales (been sat there months and I have resisted spending it) might manage to get some grocery items from there which then I will have the cash for left over from grocery budget.

Just done freezer list, should have enough for at least another 6 meals in there :) with a few bits to go with them I need to buy, delaying next big grocery shop
One day I might be more organised...........

I have done three lots of washing (economy quick wash setting!) and used the washing line to get it all dry. I also used less washing powder as I combined with soda crystals.

I have turned the heating off this afternoon and put cardigan on as I really don't think it is that cold and BF hasn't said anything about being chilly, so must be OK.

Also did loads of housework instead of taking up BF's offer of going into town with him (he needs to buy socks!) and having a pub lunch (which he would have bought) as I just *know* I would have spent money I don't have. So at least the house is clean!

Have also entered Pigsback competitions and just off to do QuidCo searches now...
