Argos Return Query

This maybe in the wrong place.. My mum bought my kids a scooter and toy in Argos before Xmas. They are unwanted gifts. We have the receipt and they are still boxed (unopened) can I return them?

I think they only have a 16 day money back guarantee so I wouldnt think so as you've waited too long, you could ring their customer services number on 0870 600 8784 and ask their advice.

I worked fr them for around 4 years and personaly I would have done it and my manager would have approaved as you ahve the receipt and it can be resold. The new catalogue comes out this weekend so it will be areally busy time so I would wait until next week. It shouldnt be a problem.

Some retailers extended their returns policy for goods purchased during the christmas period until sometime this month but not sure if Argos is the same

if you have receipt i dont see a problem but if not its managers descretion

I thought I saw notices in Argos saying that it was a 30 day money back guarantee over Christmas

I returned an item for my son today. Told them it was a duplicate present even though it wasn't, he just didn't want it. I had no receipt and they refunded the money onto an argos gift card for use at a later date. No probs. Give it a try.

I think - depending on the manager - you will get at least credit it not a refund. Gotta be better than a useless item.

As said, depends a lot on store managers. Of two near me one could not be more helpful and the other one is a complete jumped up little soup nazi.
