Unable to get hold of credit reports

Before anyone complains, I concluded that this was the right section to get the info I need. Who else wound check their records often.
Just returned a few weeks ago from a overseas contract, Called the tax office to speak to them. Seems they use Experian as a double check. They refused to speak to me on the grounds that the data held by Experian was different from that I supplied. Yet I had a letter from the tax office only last week at my home address. Yet when I tried to get a copy of my credit file I was turn down on the grounds that the address was invalid as did the other two companies. This could course problems with renewing my passport.
It would seem address is deemed invalid if it is a boat on a mooring.
Yet council tax is paid on the mooring.
They ask for the following paper versions plus my passport.
Electricity/Water Bills for the last 3 months. Paid on the spot (no bill)
Bank Statements for the last 3 months. I bank online so no paper copy
Council Tax Bill for the last 3 months Included in my mooring fees
All my bills are sent via email, So no paper copies.
Its bad enough that I have a 600 mile round trip to my tax office,
Yet being given the run around by all three companies is worse, I am
due to ship out in a few weeks to another contract. Yet I need to get to the bottom of this matter. Who knows whats happen in the last eighteen months while I been away. I do know that a number of postman have been attacked in the last few months and mail sacks taken. Some one may have got hold of some letter and used it to take out debt in my name.
Does anyone has any ideas how to deal with the problem.

Seems unusual. Experian normally ask for a copy of your passport (or driving licence etc) and two original documents sent to you at your current address. These could be anything. I've just used an electricity bill and a gym membership letter for one client and they accepted this.
Try to talk to a human being at Experian.0 -

Can I just clarify that you are saying that HMRC use the commercial outfit Experian to prove that you are who you say you are?
You are under no obligation to appear correctly on a commercial database, whereas you are under obligation to make sure your tax office has your correct details.
If your tax office does have your correct details, and is refusing to talk to you, I would write them a letter - recorded delivery - asking them to confirm the reasons in writing.0 -
I bank online and don't receive statements (I can check monthly online/print) - I recently needed originals for a new mortgage application and my bank happily sent out 3 months worth.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250
£1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000
Debt free & determined to stay that way!0 -

1) Passport is at the Passport office being renewed (Iam due to ship out on the 10th of next month). On the renewal form in the small print quotes that checks will be made with CRA's
2) I not had a driving licance since I broke my back over ten years back.
3) I have use a Po box, As the Royal Mail Heath and Safety Nazi will
not allow postman to deliver to boats on water, Even if moored along side.
4)Having using a PO box is costly and all three companies will not accept a PO address or a mooring address, The mooring address is listed on the council tax banding list at Band C.
5) I spoken to 'checklist' drones with all three companies and have got nowhere with them.0 -

When you try and call your tax office, You are now put through to a call center, Which could be anywhere even overseas. I was informed by the 'checklist' drone that the details would be checked with 'Experian' to insure that I was the person who I claimed to be. Some of the questions were addresses going back years. Even if you passed, You not be put through. Instead they will sent a email to arrange a call back. Because of the incorrect details being held on 'Experian' database. I was told by the 'drone' that I would have to go into the tax office itself. Which I did today (600 mile round trip), This visit did uncover what appears to be a case of ID fraud. Someone has been using my tax and NI details to gain employment while Ive been overseas. Hence my need to find out whats going on in my credit file. Before I went away my score was over 900.0 -

Overseas Bank and the little problem with the fact I use a PO Box for the post which is different from my mooring address.0
