I'm saving for a holiday - what do you think I should do - add my savings to this total and then take them from the total when I spend them or just not add them in the first place?6k in 2012: £4200.00/£6000.00

Haven't posted in awhile but all my tracking is now up to date;).
Payday today so transferred over my weekly savings, used to be £40 but after adjusting my budget a bit I'm now putting £55 aside each week.
Spent a fair bit last week, I needed new shoes and finally got that haircut I've been promising myself I would get for the last 6 months (for me haircuts are a once every 2-3 years thing).0 -
Lost track on what we have saved during the last month but it wont be much as we have just booked our Honeymoon to Brazil! We have only booked the flights as we are backpacking we can sort the rest as we go along! The house is getting tidied up to be put on the market and from now every penny going into the 12k in 2012 will be towards the deposit for the mintedmatty family home!
I got promoted so September payday will be the first on my increased salary so I am hoping to save a significant amount from that wage. Sanatnder have put our rate up so we have matched the increase by paying even more to stay ahead of the game.
Hopefully if we can keep a lid on most spending I will be able to put a bit away for Christmas. Ooops am I the first to have mentioned the 'C' word? It will sneak up on us now!

I think don't add them. Our goal is to have £12k (or whatever our individual goal is) saved by the end of 2012 so, in the nicest possible way, I don't think there is any point adding funds you know you are going to take away before the end of the year. Different if you are going on holiday after 31st December 2012 and using this challenge as a way to save. If there are any holiday funds left after your holiday (before end December) then add themMortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
