Hi everyone
Feb/March hasn't been great for me so far with hen do's and allsorts to pay for.
On a brighter note, I have been given an unexpected £5000 contribution to our wedding which is nice! I don't think I'll count it in this challenge though as I don't feel like I have really earned/saved it myself IYSWIM.0 -
No. 38 - £1700 saved so far here - signature updated.
Little less saved from my Bonus than I would have liked. Have helped out the GF with a recent trip to Washington DC as she's only a student, and then I went and bought a Mac Mini. I really am terrible with buying gadgets/shiny new toys! On the plus side I've resisted the urge of an iPad HD/3/New One so far!
Saving money on the shopping this month as been away, and have stopped ordering organic veg boxes for now, and resorting to the local greengrocers instead (half the cost).
Think I might start automatically moving money into my ISA at the beginning of the month, even if its not the full required amount, to discourage me from thinking that money is available.0 -
Made my £9 from someone picking up things I was selling
hoping to get a few more things up for sale soon to perk up my savings!

Just a quick update - Feb was financially terrible for us, but march will be better!
In Feb we booked a week's holiday (via Quidco), car had its annual service & DH spent a fortune in work expenses. Could have been worse as I drowned my phone, but my Dad had a spare handset!
March is better - received my PPI repayment today! So that now means we're finally on target! This also encouraged DH to lodge his claim.£12k in '12 No.18: £4610/£12k

Payday so another £40 transferred over
.
Trying to work out if I have anything else spare to transfer over this month, trying to fill as much of the ISA allowance as possible before April 5th.
Keeping my eye out for ISA deals for next year, my work contract ends at the end of June so I need to be able to access the money in case it takes me a couple of months to find a new job on I need to relocate. Nothing I've seen yet that's really much better than my current rate.... need to check when the intro deal runs out.0 -
Saved another £20 this month. Still way under target but still happy with my progress. I could be doing a lot bettter but still have to have my treats otherwise would go crazy. I also save jointly with my husband as well. Now at £530. Pay day on Friday so I'm aiming at another £250 by the end of March. Aiming to cross the £1,000 mark by the end of April!!!Mortgage FreeSave £5,000 in 2020[CENTER:j0

Decided to use the extra money and put on the cc (i know its interest free but want to ensure we clear it in time to prevent interest!).
However we've just signed our tenancy for the next year &
Found out Lovefilm do 15% interest if pay one sum. So have done that to save £26 across the year.
Whilst at boyfs bank I noticed he had 3 accts on the screen so asked him; he set up 2 savers years ago and forgot; so he's moved it into An ISA for a better rate. So thats £194 and £0.56 found and added to savings pots :0)
