Hi Ive had a phone call from a company called chargeright who want to act on our behalf to reclaim interest on a consolidated loan. We had a mortgage with Northern Rock and had a loan running alongside the mortgage for about 15k also we had consolidated a loan into the mortgage. Are this company A: trustworthy and B: worth using? they want 25% of the final settlement with a refundable no win no fee of 499.00 although when I said that fee was too much he reduced it to 199.00 and the rest added on the end if we won the case. I'm very temped as the money would be a lifesaver but equally have no-one I know who has pursued a claim like this. Any help or advice would be very much appreciated, he is calling me up tomorrow for a decision.

No, no, no, run for the hills,
You will get absolutely nowhere and they will have your £199.00
Be warned.
Just think, you had a loan which attracts interest, whether a consolidation loan or not.
They are cold callers, how would they know your personal business, they wouldnt, they are going
to scam you. Please dont fall for it.
What these people do is say 'we will try to get your money back, you pay them, they try they dont succeed,
They tell you they tried so they arent lying, they pocket your money, simple as that really.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Forget using any reclaim Company if you have a valid ppi claim it can be done yourself there are template letters on this site to send off to the Companies.0

Strange reason for a call (although we know it happens)We had a mortgage with Northern Rock and had a loan running alongside the mortgage for about 15k also we had consolidated a loan into the mortgage.
Nothing wrong with thatAre this company A: trustworthy and B: worth using? they want 25% of the final settlement with a refundable no win no fee of 499.00
As there is no wrong doing by the lender, the claims company could well sit on your £499 for a number of years and then go under taking your £499 with them just as a number of other claims companies that made similar fake claims have done (look up Cartel or Kerobo)I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
