Hi to anybody that can help me please...
I was wondering if you could give me some advice. I would really appreciate. It. I am applying for a house soon :j however after looking at my credit file there is a default of a arrow global company. I send the CCA request letter to which after 14 days I got no response. I then sent the 30 day request letter to which they have replied to me with a letter asking me to verify my address with 2 forms of ID as the address i gave does not match their address they have for me. As you can imagine i do not want to send them this but wanted to know your advise. Is it best to send it them in the hope they will remove it or will they use this somehow? The 30 days is up next week so what happens after that.
Very sorry for the long message but any helps great !

I would definitely not send them that. Do you have any knowledge of the debt at all? does it say what type of debt it is on your file?
If you don't know what the debt is then I wouldn't send a CCA request but just a simple prove it letter saying I have noticed this on my credit file, I have no knowledge of this debt, please removed it from my file etc.
By doing a CCA request they will assume you are agree is your debt but you just want to see the CCA, and if this is the case even if they cannot find a copy of the CCA they can still register a default.
I'd use this prove it letter but alter instead of saying you've contacted me to I've seen this on my file - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=11570893&postcount=2A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Hi many thanks for your reply, very useful as always.
So i have forwarded the ‘prove it’ letter to them and after a week now i have had no reply?
I think they may have passed the debt onto another company called ‘moorcroft’ so im thinking will they even bother to respond to me? The only problem is , on my credit file it says the £400 debt is with them
I was hoping to apply for a mortgage with my girlfriend in a couple of months but without this being removed of my file i don’t stand much chance L
Should i sit tight and wait for a response , if i get one?
Thanks in advance0
