    try sainsburys

    159 for 19inch LCD mogen
Had some good reviews but not HD ready

Some in Milton keynes dunno about anywhere else though
  • Currys currently have the LG20LC1RB 20 inch LCD TV for £214.99 reduced from £249.99 with free delivery. This seems like a good deal to me.
You could reduce it by a further 5% by using some of the codes which are around bringing the total to just less than £205 delivered.
That would be close on a 20% reduction on the price of a few weeks ago and seems like a good budget LCD with a respectable brand name.
Though at that price it isn't HD ready and perhaps doesn't have the bells and whistles of some more expensive models.
    Hope that this helps.

I've read (John Lewis) that HD will make little difference to a 20" or smaller screen.
    Big diff on large screens.
    Therefore, don't worry.
But I'm looking for a cheap 20" set with freeview built in. Any advice??
    Nice to save.

As with anything, perceived picture quality will depend on how far away from the telly you sit. Bigger TVs are better from further away (and slightly worse up close), smaller TVs are fine up close but worse from further away.

As a side note, somewhere in my company has a big 42"+ plasma in one of the briefing rooms - the room is absolutely tiny!

    Cheers
