Work loan

Hi all

please could i have a little help on the matter please.

My job does not intitle me to sick but is left to managment to decide i have never been on the sick before started 6 months ago anyway 3 weeks had a nasty break playing sport so had a cast on for two weeks managed to get back to work after 10 days and spoke to boss ref the sick pay. my bonus is worked out in the same month so with me been off i was unable to make any bonus for 10 days. He told me that i would not get sick pay due to it been a sport injury which is fair enough. i then went on to say that this will leave me in a situation thats not good in terms of income he then went on to say that they will inflate my bonus for this month and pay the money back over the coming months to help out like a loan. So just wondered is this allowed i dont fancy taking a loan but what choice do i have

If it gets you out of trouble and you can manage to pay it back then there is no reason not to take it.
  • He's trying to help you out and do you a favour, but if you don't want the extra money, just say thank you very much for the offer but I'd rather just have what I am due for now. I don't see your problem with this?
