I think WHSmith has got wise to the Guinness World Record Book offer and have reduced the in store price to £9.50 also.

Yesterday a nice assistant at a Sheffield store amended the price for me to £10 so I could use the £5 off voucher (the book was stickered at £10 but scanning at £9.50). It's the first time I've actually wanted to be charged the higher price for a product!

They have, you cannot use the £5 voucher on this book alone.
  • I went in store this afternoon - some books had £9.50 and some had £10 stickers on them. I picked up a £10 one and bought it at the counter for £5 with my voucher!!! Thanks OP
  • Last year the voucher said £5 off a book of £10 or more. This year's voucher says £5 when you spend £10 or more on books, so if you found a cheap book you could add that to the £9.50 to save the £5. (not sure why you'd want to use the children's books voucher either cos you have to spend £12 to save a fiver, why not use the £10 spend one)

    It's only a game

Just been to my local WHSmith, and overnight they have removed the £9.50 stickers from the Guinness Book of Records, and they are back to half price, ie £10.00.

The £5 voucher from post #1 now works so you can grab a copy of this book for £5.00. Not sure if this is store specific or all stores, but worth a try.
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000

I've often bought this for £5 but last year they ended up being cleared at £2, so I'm going to wait and see how much lower it goes!

    Thankyou OP :j

Just been to my local and priced checked the Guiness book and it was £10, used the voucher and got for £5.

Also bought the Wimpy kid movie diary (rrp £10.99) scanned at £9.99 and Wimpy kid do-it-yourself (rrp £6.99) scanned at £6.99 then a promotional saving of £3.50 was taken off and I used anothe £5 voucher. Total paid £8.48. My boys will be vey happy. :) XXX
  • Thanks OP and CT19720 managed to get one and a Ripley's Believe It Or Not.
