  • Don't take this the wrong way but do you think you deserved to be sacked or could you challenge it?

    Hope you find something soon.

Were you the only one sacked? do you think they had just cause to do so?
If you have any doubts, contact ACAS for advice?
Have you done an up to date CV so you are ready to jump at new opportunities?

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Remember the old proverb - where one door shut another one opens!

Seek a better paying job, use this opportunity to your advantage! Get out there and find a job before you notice period is up.

Post your Cv on websites like jobsite.co.uk and register with the local job centre, they now will allow you to search their database online.

    Good Luck!

  • Thanks for all the support and advice, I will be talking to a solicitor on Monday, however, they have been quite cute. The notice period takes me up to 11 months from the date I started and you are not covered by employment legislation regarding unlawful sackings (No verbal warnings, no written warnings etc..) This is not the first time this company has done this it seems.

i'm so sorry to hear your bad news, similar thing happened to me a couple of years ago. i'd been there for three months and they didn't carry on my contract after my probation. i promise there will be a silver lining, however hard it is to find, and things will get better, just keep fighting and remember you have many many friends on here who'll help as much as they can!
    xx
