What's the dates on them? When I looked in JS the other day at mince pies, they were a good 4-5 weeks before Christmas!

Yes, very disappointing. I was in Tesco this afternoon and was just about to buy some as well and noticed the best before date was for October 19. Goodness, What are they thinking of!?

Probably that many of us LOVE mince pies and wish they were available all year, so we eat LOTS long before Christmas anyway!! :rotfl:

Fantastic, how true is that!

I've still got quite a bit of my mum's Christmas cake left over from last year as well. I have a piece of it now and again whenever I think of it or feel like a piece. In fact I had a piece the other day. It keeps really well and I'm sure I'll still have some left over after this coming Christmas as well.

I usually route about on the shelf. There's usually 2 or 3 different batches. Dates can vary by up to a month.

Very little stock rotation though. The new, fresh stuff is put at the front. The old stuff stays at the back.

Yeah, that's right. Tesco, Mogden Lane in Isleworth appeared to only have a batch that was dated till Oct 19. May be worth checking again next time I go in that case [if I go again before the offer ends].
