Everybody makes mistakes.

However, she has also stated it isn't the first time it has happened.

That is not just a mistake, it is more negligence and they should get their act together.

By law, one is entitled to receive their pay on time, on time being what is custom & practice, and it is custom overtime is paid weekly for this lady.

Not fortnightly, weekly.

You go telling your creditors 'I'll pay you next week' instead of on time-see how far you get with that!

You can request payroll makes a BACS payment, however since it will incure an additional cost i'm sure you can guess the response.

Just heard from my supervisor that payroll are sorting out another pay run for us. I think it's because so many staff complained that they hadn't been paid. Just waiting to see if its 2 hours or 2 days now. But at least they are sorting it. Thanks for comments everyone.

Good for you! It is always heartening when a worker/s assert their right.
