Don't know if i've put this in the right place but please move it if it's not.
Last week my DH was looking at sat navs, on a website he saw one and they had an offer of buy now pay later. He applied for this but for whatever reason they turned him down. The problem is that in the last 3 days they have phoned him about 3/4 times each day, as he works from 7am till around 7pm he's never at home when they call.
I had a look at their website and they offer secured loans and things so they are obviously trying to sell him something. I tried to tell the guy who phoned today (very politely) that we are not interested in taking out any type of finance and were only interested in the buy now pay later offer. He in turn hit me with the usual data protection rubbish he can't discuss it with me, he also told me it was not a cold call as my DH had applied to them, yes he did but only for the BNPL scheme.
Please can you help me get rid of this annoying little man, other than telling him that he no longer lives here I can't think of what to say to him. They never seem to call when DH is in so i'm left answering the phone to them.
Is there anything I can do?
Thanks

You could tell them that you have the BT caller protection thingy and if he doesn't stop calling you will report him and his company will be fined and he in turn will be fired.:dance:One good turn gets most of the duvet!! :dance:0

I'd either keep them on hold once they phone, after 10 minutes pick the phone up saying 'you're still there then?' and do the same in another 10 minutes, or
say 3 words to them- no thank you, and put the phone down, they soon get fed up with calling!!!0 -
Do you have an answerphone? I wouldn't be without mine - I have caller display and if I don't recognise the number I let the call go to the answerphone. We are also registered with the Telephone Preference Scheme but that only cuts out cold callers from the UK (and not all of them!).
My other suggestion would be to ask to speak to the manager and explain that your husband has told you that he is not interested in anything they may be selling so not to call again. Ask for names and say that you are recording the conversation.0
