Name spelt wrongly on NI Number

Probably on to plumbs with this but here goes... The revenue have been spelling my name wrong ever since my NI number was issued. I've never really bothered since there are at least 12 different spellings and I rarely get anyone using the correct one but I'm wondering if there is anyway I could wheedle my way out of some tax since they are effectively taxing someone else:rolleyes: My NI number has always been the same and all my employers have used the correct spelling... Like I say, probably means nothing, but if you don't ask....:o

No you can't! You can have HMRC update your name to the correct spelling by calling your tax office or the NI office on 0845 302 1479. They'll even send you a form so you can apply for a new NI card if you want.Quidco savings: £499.49 tracked, £494.35 paid.0
