Lowell Portfolio

Have had a letter from Lowell Portfolio to say that they have written off a debt due to it being statute barred. Should this now reflect in my credit reference?
Thanking you

    Not directly.

What shows on your credit file currently in relation to this debt? If the account still shows then it will be removed 6years after the date of the default.
If the debt is SB then its probably likely that the default is already very close to 6years old? Once the default is 6years old the whole record of the account and the default will drop off your file and no longer affect your credit rating.
Its possible that the default is already more than 6years old and the account doesn't appear at all already? - you would need to check your file to know.
