PPI on HSBC, can I cancel and will it make a dif?

Hi there guys!
Was just wondering (doesn't that get you in trouble....) i have a loan with HSBC which is currently at £5000 with 31/4 years to pay. I took out PPI with it at the time but I now am just a temp so i couldn't claim on it even if i wanted to. Can I cancel and if so will it make a difference to the repayments? The policy was £1100 :eek:

On your agreement it should state how much of what you pay each month is used for PPI.

Yes you should be able to cancel it.
It will make a difference on how quickly you pay it off.
