help with christmas puddings

i want to make a christmas pudding this year but im not sure what container to use. what is everyone else going to use? also does any one have a fail proof reciepe

    It's only going to be in the container for a couple of months so (suitable) plastic, glass or traditional pottery whatever you've got. It won't be served in the container so the shape matters not the look. I use pyrex but have some old fashioned pottery ones if I'm giving them as gifts (ask for the pot back when consumed).
    Any magazine or book recipe will do - go for one with more fruit and booze than stodge. Steaming is almost foolproof - its nigh impossible to overcook a pud. Also just cover with clingfilm - it will cool and stick tight after cooking ready to be re-steamed on the day - ignore all the fuss about greased discs of greaseproof and pleated sheets and cloths and tying it up.
