Anyone know where I can get a cheap(ish) sofa from?

Please excuse me if this is the wrong board, I didn;t know where to put it.

Basically moving over an hour away and I can get hold of most furniture (and have most of it) cheaply. But where could I get a cheap sofa?

Sofa seems the biggest expense on the furniture list

  • I would wait until your job moves if I were you - I thought it was supposed to be in about a year?

Plus, when you DO move, the place might very well be furnished, so a sofa wouldn't be of much use to you.

Change of plan now sue. Applied for council list so could well go sooner than later. Woman on council told me shouldn't have to wait long because I have a local area connection

I decided on this because private lets don't allow pets require you to earn so much (3x the rent) need a gurantor if you dont. All bonds and stuff
  • Good luck with your move, have you checked out local council recycling?
We got 2 wardrobes from our local store and also a big fridge freezer.
These were all donated then resold IYKWIM and when we went to the big shop to look at wardrobes they had some amazing stuff at very reasonable prices (all clean) (the fridge/freezer was only £125)
and all were delivered free of charge next day.
We were very impressed especially as they took away an old tallboy(?) as well.
    xx
