Sadly, I don't think Rustic Chips are strictly the correct product for that coupon, although it may be accepted accidentally.

They sometimes have a Rustic Chips coupon available at http://www.mccain.co.uk/ but it only has 50p off Curly Fries at the moment.

The one from the updated printable money off coupon forum, is definitely not for curly fries. It just says mccain oven chips! I used mine yesterday along with the 50p off dettol wipes (which are half price @ £1.02 atm). So I was very happy.

PS If you are cooking the rustic oven chips, use a liner on your baking tray. As the baking tray is a nightmare to clean afterwards!

  • The coupon is for th actual product called oven chips, by mccains, not just general oven chips, saw this discussed in the coupon thread.

I'm sorry if my first post wasn't clear.

It's the coupon currently on the McCain website that's for McCain Curly Fries. They change the coupon monthly and have given away McCain Rustic Chips coupons in the past, I still have one from previous months, but they've gone and expired now. I just mentioned that as an aside.

The coupon linked in the first post of this topic is only for McCain Original Oven Chips or McCain Crinkle Cut Oven Chips, not McCain Rustic Chips. That's what I was saying, as indicated in both sets of T&Cs on the coupon. They might accept it against other products, but that's not strictly correct.

The voucher may have been intended for McCain Oven Chips (straight or crinkle varieties), but, they are accepting it for McCain Oven Rustic Chips. The checkout staff would have to be very knowledgeable to know the difference as the above products all have McCain Oven Chips on the packaging. The voucher has two parts the part with the picture of McCain Oven Chips you just bin, the only part you give to the person on the checkout is the voucher with the barcode on. Hope this helps:)
