19.1.07 what small DFW/MSE thing will you do/have you done today?

Morning peeps :hello:

I have just packaged up another couple of bits to post for ebay sales so need to get rummaging for some more things to list. It is amazing what people will buy. Head over to the "things you never thought you could sell" thread if you think that you have nothing worth listing!!!

Today I am also going to chase up an outstanding insurance claim we have and to get my tax return sorted so that I don't incur a penalty.

Isn't my life just SOOO exciting!!

Have a good day everyone x

Morning hypno and everyone to follow

    Yay its Friday :j

Today I walked to work instead of getting the bus, saving £1.50 on my Oyster card. I normally wear trainers to walk as its a good 40 minutes walk but I am going straight out after work (budgeted for of course  ) so am wearing high heeled boots. I am quite proud that I walked anyway but not so happy that I now have a blister on my big toe. I shall have to get some plasters at lunchtime but that's okay because I have £26 on my Boots card so can use a few pennies of that.

    Have a good day everyone!
Dealing with my debt and my weight :D

  • For me it´s going to be a no spend day and then I´m going to make a list of everything we have in the freezer and cupboards so that we can use up almost everything we have and can spend as little on groceries as possible untl we get paid.

Ive cut junk mail paper into strips and threaded with some string to make a note pad/shopping list jotter.
Writing a shopping list keeps me on track.

I walked to the shops rather than taking the car.

And will be eating last nights left overs for lunch. :j

Im going to post my ebay packages and appart from that, have a NSD. my tummy is rumbling though!
  • Just been paid and have transferred the monies needed for the month's direct debits into the savings account. These will go back into the current account as needed - earns me a little bit of interest (a huge change from pre LBM days when I always had overdraft charges - that was the first debt I cleared)

Cancelled direct debit for a magazine trial (£1 for 3 issues) - these feed my magazine addiction which was costing me a lot of money. Since LBM have only spent £3 on magazines in 5/6 months.
  • I've done the same this a.m. I've got about 40 odd items to list on ebay over the weekend  Some were christmas presents (I feel bad) but this is my year for tackling this head on, so needs must I'm afraid.

I'm also going to my sisters in a mo for lunch so saving a wee bit there. I have £9.60 sitting in my GM account, sold 3 books this week :j

I'm also working over the weekend and the rate is so much better so hopefully a nice wee earner for me in the next couple of days :j

    Have a good one

  • - brought lunch to work (and even better it was ham that was given to me and I cooked it myself last night!)
    - ordered a magazine for £1 via quidco which will get me £7 cashback
    - cancelled a night out at the flicks and having a girlie night in with a dvd instead (and we're cooking, not getting a takeaway!)

    Mortgage-free Glee!
Managed to sell the chandeliers that I caught my inlaws putting into the dustbin (they were in the house they bought - not their cup of tea so I took them off their hands) How much on eBay? £235!!!!! fantastic!

Have cleaned the windows - saving me £30 for the window cleaner.

Was considering treating me/OH to an Indian meal, but have decided instead to cook something nice from the freezer.
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

Went to Quidco and got a quote from Barclays for house/contents insurance - found out it was £128 cheaper than More Than  So took the policy out making the saving and getting the Quidco cash back :j :j

This time last week I would just have renewed .....
