            So as stated the recent "surge" in mortgage approvals means very little other than demonstrating the propensity for spin.
 Nobody has been able to argue against this, for obvious reasons.
 Increasing volume of mortgage approvals -> increasing prices
 Decreasing volume of mortgage approvals -> decreasing prices
 Stagnant mortgage approvals -> ?
 It's a leading indicator, innit?0
