Petticoat Colour

morning,

I am having an Ivory wedding dress but looking at the petticoats the main of them are white.

Will it matter if my petticoat is white and my dress Ivory?

Thanks in advance.

I think a lot depends on the style of the dress and whether you will actually want people to see the petticoat or not...

I went to a wedding recently where the bride had a pretticoat that you couldnt see unless you actually lifted the dress ...she had an ivory dress and white petticoat....the only reason I knew that it was white was because I helped her get dressed.

does your dress have any layering underneath...if it does then that will probably be ivory and it may be easier to disguise a white petticoat underneath...if not then you might want to opt for an ivory petticoat...

I managed to find an ivory petticoat on ebay from an english seller, it was slightly more expensive but I'm not actually sure what if my wedding dress has any layering underneath yet as I'm waiting for it to be delivered.

I've actually just had a slight panic attack at the fact that my dress may be unsuitable (it's coming from china) and will now have a perticoat and no dress lol.

    Thanks for your advice :)

I quite fancy having a white dress with a yellow petticoat.

I can't really tell the difference between white and ivory, especially when they are in two different types of fabric (like a dress and a petticoat). But it looks like you've got your problem sorted now anyway!
