Tuesday 11th October - What small DFW things will you be doing today??

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D

Morning all,

Hope everyone is well. I personally am half asleep still - need to start going to bed earlier again, but there is so much to be done these days!

Today's plan:-

  • [STRIKE]Cycle to work & home again[/STRIKE]
  • [STRIKE]Make use of free water at work[/STRIKE]
  • [STRIKE]Charge phone at work[/STRIKE]
  • [STRIKE]Stay in for my lunchbreak to avoid spending[/STRIKE]
  • [STRIKE]Free lunch at work today as I am on a course[/STRIKE]
  • [STRIKE]Food from stores[/STRIKE]
  • [STRIKE]Dinner from meal plan[/STRIKE]
  • [STRIKE]Check for surveys[/STRIKE]
  • [STRIKE]Enter comps[/STRIKE]
  • [STRIKE]Check online banking[/STRIKE]
  • Check out this weeks flylady thread & do something - must keep on top of it this week
  • [STRIKE]Try to research my braces some more, & triple check budget to see if it's doable...[/STRIKE]
  • [STRIKE]Take refillable water bottle to polenastics tonight & get a lift there[/STRIKE]
Have a great, MSE day everyone x

  • Good morning everone and thanks to Perni for starting us off today. I'm hoping for a relaxed few days as boss has gone away until next Monday. :j

    So far I have:
    • checked banking - better than I thought :D
    • checked for surveys
    • set the bread machine running
    • made packed lunch & snacks
    • fed and watered the chickens
    • boxed half a dozen eggs
    • drooled over cars on Aut0trader, but didn't buy one :A
    I will also:
    • get a lift to work
    • get paid for eggs
    • check for surveys throughout the day
    • knit at lunchtime to avoid the shops
    • phone Br Gas regarding claiming a refund and changing my direct debit amount
    • dinner from stores
    • get into sewing room tonight to finish a corset order
    • have an NSD (that'll be 9 in 11 days :))
I think that'll be enough for a Tuesday. Tomorrow will be a different thing altogether!

    Good morning all!

Started n my Flylady last night and also went to Body Step for the first time in month, goodness me it was hard and I thought I might be sick at one point but i'm feeling great today!

    Today:

    - Check banking, no change
    - Check Bill account & update sig to reflect payments made
    - Make use of free water/coffee at work
    - Resist choc machine & be happy with my apple, banana and orange!
    - Syke myself up for Bootcamp tonight, fair to say i'm crapping it! Doesn't sound fun at all but I know it will provide results!
    - Maybe another NSD? or at least a LSD!

    Think thats about it!
    Have a good day everyone
