Can anyone tell me if my ex partner can be made to pay for a loan that I took out in my name for our wedding and he then cancelled 6 weeks before wedding. I am now left with loan and he hasn't any debt.

No. If it's in your name, it's your debt, unless you have any documentary evidence that he was to pay you back, in which case you may be able to take it to the small claims court.0

I would say no, if its in your name then its your loan im afraid.0

As harsh as it seems under the circumstances, if it's your loan, it's your debt unfortunatey unless you can prove there was an agreement for him to pay you back and you can provide evidence in court.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043
