They didn't all arrive on my screen at the same time, taking over the forum, being dragged up by the same, somewhat troubled poster.0 -
These 50% off threads are simply turning this forum into the farce that is hpc and the laughing stock of the internets.0

Its the return of the "Noisy Bulls".
Basically referred to a phenomenon whereby bullish postersbecame disproportionately aggressive and somewhat shouty crackers.
Last time it peaked in the period between september 2007 and spring 2008. At which point the majority of the noisy bulls left the forum. A phenomenon that became know as "retiring to bull island" - a luxury retreat with no internet access.
Seems like we're seeing the 2011 remix of that number one hit single.0 -
They all seem to follow the same format.
Anyone disagreeing is a "bull", and how stupid the "bulls" are for not believing them, they will be in NE etc, etc.
Nothing changes, 3 years on and we still have the same debates on the same things.
You would think the the casing point in this as always has been listen to both sides and plan for somewere in the middle.
Many including myself have said and planned similar, I am not going to brag I was right as I was not, I thought prices would fall more than they did.
But the land between two extremes tends to be the safest to walk.0 -
The thing no one predicted was 0.5% rates.
I predicted 1.5% rates, but even that was a whole percentage point off.0 -

I won't believe that until we see at least one thread in which everybody agrees that BTL landlords should be sent to concentration camps or maybe a misogynistic thread about the Mumsnet forums for a bit of light relief.0 -

It's a never ending nonsense on here, every few months somebody starts another one of these idiotic threads, without realising just how often it's been proven wrong in the past.
You mean like all the Express threads we seem to get about Soaring house prices?
Extremes on any position look stupid, this does look a bit like pot calling kettle doesnt it?0
