cheaper frying oil than olive oil

olive oil costs £ 4 per litre on average
i use asda sunflower oil £ 1.50 per litre
or mazola corn oil £ 1.70 per litre
both asda
i fry my chips in sunflower oil but my granny swears by
trex in the white blocks she reckons its not as messy

Nice.
Not really a grabbit though, and sunflower oil is cheaper elsewhere.
And who uses olive oil for deep frying ? It's not designed to do that.0 -

I have just cleaned out my deep fat fryer and was debating what oil to put in it.
I even found a thread about different oils on the shopping section.
