Recycling old cassette tapes?

Hi
I have about 6 big bags of cassette tapes - not originals, most of them are stuff I recorded on to blanks from LP. I don't really want to chuck them in the landfill - any ideas on what to do with them?

I know you were talking about cassette tapes, but here's a couple of suggestions for re-using cd's
* Some people use them for interior design
* They're great mirrors0 -
