Hi All,
I haven't really posted in MSE much before but we have just got engaged :j and are having a civil partnership next December, so I wanted ot get your advice. I wondered if there are any brides in Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire or Warwickshire that can reccommend any cheap venues? We are on the border of these three counties so would consider anywhere in the area. Our budget is £2000 for upto 60 people (although we would invite fewer people if we need to). We are looking for somewhere to have a civil ceremony and drinks after, then a buffet and disco in the evening, if we cant afford a sit-down meal.
Thanks everyone!

Sorry I can't help with venues, but just wanted to say congratulations on getting engaged!Getting married to a wonderful lady on August 10, 2012.
Need to save up, lose weight, reduce my money worries and get back to being the real me! :j0 -
Thanks very much - we will have been together for 10 years in Dec 2012 so really looking forward to it! Congrats to you too!0

Just to be clear, is your budget for the venue £2000, or is that for the whole wedding?
ETA: Also, which month are you getting married, and what day of the week?0 -
Sorry - budget of £2000 is for the whole wedding and we are looking at 8th, 9th or 10th of Dec (2012) if possible, as the 9th is our 10 year anniversary. The 8th is a Friday, which I'm told might be cheaper? We are quite flexible because of our limited budget..0

There is a place in Gloucestershire called seasons in Swindon village, you can have the ceremony and reception there and they aren't about the money they are about making sure you have a good day they are relatively cheap my friend is getting married there with a party of 150 and she has a 7,000 budget all together, hope this helps0
