There are far too many chat posts which are not coupon related and which are not being picked up by those we've trusted to run this thread. Can posters who just want to chat please do so on the Money off coupon "chat" thread 1 thread started by Browntoa.

SORRY for chat, but this is my last post here.
It is just my personal opinion, but I found it strange to have 2 treats (one for coupons, and another for chat). All chats are about coupons, best deals and experiences about shoping, printing etc, so chat related.... Apart of a few arguments caused by one or two people, one treat was fine to me....
When I give some advice over here, someone coments ''no chat''...
But this is just my own opinion.... if no chat here - no chat, thanks for reading!
  • for those who've not discovered the coupon chat thread yet

Wombeld an Asda receipt yesterday which will give me the APG £5 bonus - the only thing is it says "Retrieved Transaction" just before the list of products and "Retrieved Items Complete" at the end of the list. I've never seen this before - anyone have any idea what this means? I am unsure of whether to put it through the APG site just in case it flags anything up (was paid for by cash).
I wouldnt swear to it but I think it could be where for some reason the SA on the till has had to transfer the transaction to customer services. CS will then call up the transaction on their till and complete it. Im not 100% sure though.

Thanks - I thought it was maybe something like this. I also wondered if the SA maybe had to recall the transaction if the person had realised they didn't have enough cash on them and had to run out to the cash machine outside!

I gave it a go anyway in the APG and I am £3.72 (plus £5 bonus) better off!

A retrieved transaction receipt is when for one reason or another the shop had to be transferred usually to the customer services till.

It happened to me once when I was on a quick till and there was a problem as I was paying using a gift card and it wouldn't scan. The girl saved the total and then we went to customer services and he was able to go into the transaction by inputting the till number and retrieve it. He eventually got the card to scan and all was well.

So the customer could have used the original receipt to get an apg, there is no way of knowing.
