Just put my very old Ipod shuffle (little white one) into computer to download some stuff but computer doesn't recognise it through iTunes, the way I normally download stuff.
I've tried to open it through Start/computer/found the device as "F" but it only brings up Bootex or Ready Boost, I've no idea what that means.
Anyone out there who can help?
Cheers

Flat battery?
Leave it connected in the hope the battery will charge?0 -
If it brings up readyboost that means your computer is recognising it as a USB storage device, but not as an ipod...

Tried charging it up but didn't fix problem.
Tried your link but it's a bit complicated, sorry!
Tried starting from fresh on another computer but same problem so it's definitely my Ipod Shuffle.
Can you suggest anything else?0 -

Hi
I have a second generation Shuffle.
A few times it's been corrupted, wasn't able to access it.
So I used the "iPod Reset Utility".;)
It looks as though the program will work with first generation Shuffle too.

Tried this but it appears my computer needs to have:
System Requirements- Windows 2000 with SP4
- Windows XP (SP2)
