just to let you know, greggs leave there cakes and pastrys out over night !walked past there window after closing at 7pm and the food was all still out ,not covered, with flys having a good old feast!

I have never seen anything like that in my local Greggs.
In fact last time they had this type of free food offer, the sandwiches were in cellophane wrappers in the refridgerated displays, and 2 out of the 3 sandwiches I got (3 papers and 3 diff Greggs) made them freshly for me, even asking me what type of bread I wanted.

    Very well impressed.
    Those were the bloomer sandwiches.
    Absolutely delicious.
I don't like Donuts and find the muffins too sweet....but dd might like one.

p.s for those wanting vegatarian, why don't you go in and ask ...... ? mine always seem very willing to make one up freshly for me to my own requirements (eg no onion or not too much mayo etc)

Boohooo. None of the oval bite sandwiches are suitable for vegetarians, they all have meat in them! How uncool, or will they do a tuna/salad oval bite if asked?
Think they would be in trouble if they did a tuna sandwich for a vegetarian.
    Booo!!!

    Why?
    Tuna is fish.

Exactly my thoughts, I thought it was vegans that did not touch anything with fish and dairy in?

Anyroad, just got myself a Mature Cheddar Oval Bite. So all good.

Thanks to the OP and the other useful posters on this thread. x x x
  • what a great bargain...thank u op
  • Vegetarians don't eat meat or fish but do eat dairy.

Vegans don't eat any animal products at all (inc dairy, honey, eggs etc)

Pescatarians eat fish but not meat.

    Hope that clears it up!

Off to Greggs to get some free grub

Think it's funny when someone says they are vegetarian and still eat fish!! Even worse when they say they are veggy and still eat fish AND chicken.

    People make me laugh!!

  • Vegetarians who eat fish are the worst kind!
Eat a prawn cocktail, and 10-15 animals die to feed one person.
You might as well eat a steak, where one animal has died to feed 100 people.

Vegetarians don't eat any animal, but do eat their produce (eggs, milk etc)

Yes indeed! Been a vegetarian for nearly 10 years-if it's got a face I don't eat it. If you claim to be veggie and eat fish, not only are you insulting the real vegetarians, you are actually a pescitarian. That's my rant for the morning :-P:rotfl:
