Cleaning A Juicer

Hi guys, strictly not OS, but everyones so helpful with cleaning tips, I thought I'd try here first.
My Dad's just bought me a juicer and I'm having trouble getting the grater bit clean, I've tried soaking it over night, running hot water over it, and rubbing it from the other side with a sponge, and still little bits of pulp are stuck: eek: , and it's driving me crazy!!
Any ideas and tried and tested ways would be gratefully received.
Also, if anyone's interested it was on special offer in Lloyds Pharmacy for £10 reduced from £29.99 and it's quite good!

I use a pan brush, those with the handle on and plastic bristles, think it was 30p in a little DIY shop near me, takes a little while but the only thing I find cleans mine. One day I might be more organised...........

I don't have one myself, but I read on another thread that the trick is to rinse it as soon as you use it and not leave it as its impossible once the fruit bits have dried even slightly.
Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

I use a stiff washing up brush on mine, it's such a faff that I rarely use it though!!I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0

Angelavdavis, I read that too, but mine is the opposite, I have only left it once, and the dried on bits came off easier IMO, maybe just lucky that once.
When I use mine I do as much as possible to get it all done in one go so have to clean it less. It is a real faff on and only comes out when I have half an hour spare afterwards to clean the darn thing! One day I might be more organised...........

Thanks everyone, I'll definately go and get a stiff brush tomorrow, I do clean it asap, I can't imagine how bad it would be if I left it!! Oh well, the juice is nice though and extra calories are burnt cleaning it!!With Love From The Mistress xx

I use a bottle brush on mine and then shove it in the dishwasher. But it is very true that you have to clean it straight away otherwise you are fighting a losing battle.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

I've had my dishwasher for the last 3 years and I can't imagine how I lived without it before. I wouldn't have so many kitchen appliances if they couldn't all be shoved in the dishwasherOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things
