I Have Had Spots On My Body, I Went To Walk In Centre Thay Told Me Dat I Have Chicken Pox, But Told Me To Go To Gp An Have It Conformed,i Phoned My Gp He Gave An Appointment After 1 Day, So I Had Missed A Days Work, My Gp Told Me It Wasnt Chicken Pox, So D Day I Missed Work Can I Claim For The Day I Lost At Work? Ne1 Can Help Me Plz

Does your employer pay occupational sick pay? If so, you should receive this.

If not, then you will not be able to claim statutory sick pay (SSP) as there is a three day waiting period for this.

You can self certify yourself for the first 5 days - so when you start your sick leave from work claim from the first day you were off, then doctor's note will kick in from the day you saw them - that will also count towards the 3 waiting days for SSP
