Where do you start?

I have an idea for a website i'd like to create -I'd like to know where to get the information i need to start my venture. I think it's got potential be very successful, but, need to know more before i start doing anything, as i want to do this right the first time round. Can someone point me to an idiots guide to making a webpage/starting a business?

PM me your email address and I can send you 2 ebooks on Starting a Home Based Business and Starting an Online Business. Don't seem to have anything on how to create a website although those ebooks may include something with that too.

Wordpress is a good bet if you need a website. Basically it's free code, which is predominantly for blogging, but is unbelievably customisable, there are thousands of free themes and plugins, so it's a good choice.

No coding required, and it has an easy to use backend where you can add your content, change settings etc.

If you have any questions about it, let me know and I can help, I use Wordpress daily for a variety of sites. If you want to use it and need help setting it up, let me know.

I also use wordpress daily, and it is so easy and so quick to use. You can build any website on that. There are also many other "back ends" you can use to build your website.
  • Hi, I am wanting to use wordpress after seeing one that looked very good to. But questions I have are...
Which blog host that is free can I use alongside wordpress so I can advertise on there?
And is it wordpress press which allows the sub menus as on blogspot which I use for one now there is nothing more then blog posts that I can do unless I am missing something. I dont know if this making sense but at the top of the page under the main header I would like 5-6 boxes with menus that go to more information and then the blog posts as events come up that I can blog about. Hope this makes sense to you techy people, or will I need to go all out and build a proper website?

I didn't have a clue about building/starting a website and found using Joomla very very easy, it has a lot of extensions and once you get used to it you can quite easily make a very complex web page..

I used siteground for my web hosting and then just added joomla..
