Hi there,
Just wondering if anyone had any tips on cleaning ivory satin shoes (mainly the heel part)? My daughter and I both wore lovely ivory satin shoes to my sisters wedding on Friday and would love to wear them again but they've got dirty from standing on the grass for photos...
I tried using a baby wipe on the heels of my daughters but I dont want to leave a wet looking stain, any advice much appreciated!!

I have been told by a dancer friend that you can clean satin ballet shoes with surgical spirit - it evaporates so you don't get a tide mark. However, I'd try this is in an inconspicuous place first0

Thanks for the advice! Reading one of the threads it says vodka works too, so always having some of that in my cupboard I'll give it a go0

I bought my wedding shoes in sale and they were a bit dirty as I think they were ex display.
My OH cleaned them with new clean damp cloth and Vanish. No wet stains there..0
