OH said this morning his XP pc wouldn't start - reporting an "insufficient space for API" or similar error. He tried restarting it in safe mode, and got a screen full of commands, which he could not access and which hung. Then rebooted in safe mode and tried the recover last good version. It restarted displaying XP logo then paused and ran checking hard disk for errors. Found no errors, restarted and repeated the disk checking process. Again no errors. Chose safe mode and selected start normally option. Displayed XP logo, started to boot and then reverted to the checking for disk errors and reported no errors again.
