The first film is disturbing, but not actually that graphic by today's standards. The final scene leaves you imagining the horror to come (giving nothing away) rather than showing it. And the "baddie" is more classic Vincent Price than Hannibal Lecter! Sounds like the sequel has gone for sensationalism which seems to be the norm in the horror genre these days.
And no, fear not - of course it's not a true story!0 -
Oh I sat through the first film, basically because everyone said it was disturbing and not to watch it. Oh boy, were they right.January GC: £64.81/£80.00

Yeah. Though Director has mention Josef Mengele as part of the inspiration for the doctor. And they claimed it was (sort of) medically accurate.beelzebomb wrote: »The first film is disturbing, but not actually that graphic by today's standards. Was an OK film, not as good as Boys from Brazil.
The sequel doesn't sound like it's worth watching - hopefully it's temporary ban doesn't get it "cult" status.0 -
The first one was pretty rubbish. Hopefully the second one will be better but its a shame they have deleted so many scenes from it. Do not now why they had to delete them as they are not real. In a couple of clicks real videos that are worse then that can be found.
Thanks for the comp
