Hi, further to recent thread which listed all HSBC branches which have a coin-counting facility, does anyone know of any other banks or building societies which offer the same service / facility?
Many Thanks
Many Thanks

they're a godsend - i have a tub that gets full of change in a week or so and i'll be !!!!!!ed if i'm counting it, so it just gets dumped into the machine, counted and deposited into my accounthelpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)0 -
And who to choose out of Barclays, Natwest and HSBC?
Should be a no brainer. Barclays and Natwest are shockingly terrible. Having banked with all three I can safely say HSBC are head and shoulders above the rest. Highly recommendedCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

I have no issues with Natwest (never tried Barclays).
You are one of the most helpful people on here but your prejudices against banks aren't particularly helpful to others! All the banks you moan moan about have millions of customers - clearly they do something right.
Obviously if you've had issues with them then no-one can blame you for leaving them, but it doesn't mean it will happen to everyone else. All the big banks are constantly getting complaints.0 -

Apart from anything else, the fact that they are part of RBS should be enough to put most people off - well, at least those who have been paying attention for the last few years.
Why should it do that?
I've been running an account with Natwest for the last 3 years. It's been the least troublesome account I've ever had to run. OK there are a few things I wouldn't do with it (like overseas transactions) - but they are things I don't need to do - with this account. Changing would be a heap of trouble - so without good cause I wouldn't even contemplate it.0 -

TBH I'm going mostly by what other members post, it's been a long time since I banked with NW so can't consider my views relevant to this day.
Having said that, I have read many posts about Natwest's sharp practices in regards to hard selling, mis-selling, and revealing personally identifiable data within earshot of the whole branch of waiting customers (chaps on the greeting desk talking to customers on the phone about their most personal financial matters etc with people queueing right in front of them)...
I will take your comment on board though, don't want to be overly prejudiced as you quite rightly say. After all, my mother was a happy customer of RBS for many years and doesn't have a bad word to say about them:beer:

As I said, millions bank with Natwest and there is no sign of that changing. Yes, a lot of it is down to apathy, but if any of the major banks had any major widespread problems then a large chunk of their customers would leave.TBH I'm going mostly by what other members post, it's been a long time since I banked with NW so can't consider my views relevant to this day.

Fair enough. I did word that a bit stronger than I wanted to but I couldn't see a way to tone it down! Good to see you'll take it on board though - I know it can be very easy to form prejudices on something so integral to your day-to-day life.0 -

I shall never forget that in January 2009, when the full extent of the credit crunch was becoming clearer, NatWest branches were displaying a large poster declaring "Sometimes we could all do with a little more Money Sense", offering a consultation with an advisor. Well, I suppose they got the "all" right.....".....where it is corrupt, purge it....."0
