And really pround of myself.
Like a lot of others here I was terrified of the dentist, not been for over 18 years, suffered rotting teeth falling out, swollen face, the works.
About 18 months ago the crown on one of my teeth became loose to the extent that if I sneezed it fell out:o
It gradually got looser and looser until sometimes I would "lose" it in a cup of tea, DD & DH would laugh at me and tell me I should get it sorted.
It all came to head when I was at Flyball with my DD and her dog and lost it completely in a field:eek: So embarrased when the team realised and we had to organise a fingertip search :rotfl:
Anyway the end of the story was we didn't find it and so rather than live life with a missing front tooth, well, a peg of a tooth that the crown sat on, I went to the dentist.
He was fantastic, so calming and a big hug to the dental nurse:A
After six weeks I now have a denture fitted and can smile confidently for the first time in years (my canines were the first teeth to fallout years ago).
Yes, the injections were not pleasant and last night was a bit uncomfortable, I feel like I have mouth full of plastic, loads of saliva and couldn't eat. I also talk a little funny.
However I have been reassured that this will all go away as my mouth gets used to having teeth:rotfl::rotfl:
So please, if anyone is scared, bite the bullet (not lietrally as this would probably entail more dental treatment:rotfl:) and find a nice dentist like mine and just do it
