Moisturiser...

Hi I have rosacea and my skin is very sensitive and I now use jojoba oil as cleanser and moisturiser. To use as cleanser, simply apply a small amount all over, leave for a few mins them gently wipe off with a damp cloth (I use muslin) . For moisturiser apply about 6 - 8 drops all over. A little goes a long way.
I got a big bottle from Holland and Barrett for about £8 ish. I've been doing this less than a week and my skin looks SOOO much better. Apparently jojoba oils formula is very similar to skins natural oils so it helps to reduce the amount of oil your skin produces (weird but seems to be true)
It can also be used in the bath, as body lotion and hot oil hair treatment.0 -
Lots of high street ones gave me spots including simple, Nivea works for me.
Clarins i also found amazing but expensive so im using Nivea moisturiser right now, buy 1 get 1 free one.
I also love products from Naturallythinking.com

the jojoba oil recommendation sounds great!0 -
Hi:) there could be a few reasons why your skin is breaking out the main two would be the product is too rich for you or you are sensitive to mineral oil which is in loads of creams expensive or cheap:(
I would suggest you try products in bottles (lotions) rather than jars I use this range http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Essentials-Cucumber-Moisturising-Lotion-150ml_869645/ and when I want something a bit different I use this which is mineral oil free http://www.skinnycosmetics.com/new_range_complex.html also I have heard fantastic things about the Aldi range but havnt tried it myself. The beauty board on here has some very knowledgable and friendly posters http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=81 - hth:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0 -
I personally recommend Clarins and now would be a good time to try them out. I use hydraquence mosituriser, usual price £33. But the gift sets are £33 but includes the moisturiser and 2 x 15ml products. This is found at Boots and I'm sure they have other sets too.0

I have sensitive skin and for me Simple products do work. I use a £1.99 moisturiser from Tesco with SPF15 for daytime. Suits me really well and no break out of spots. Have used samples of Garnier and some Olay and have had "breakouts". So I think of your idea of getting samples is a good one.Growing old disgracefully!0

Have you thought of joining the online sites of companies like Nivea, L'oreal, Olay, they will send out samples sometimes so you can try before you buy, nice!0

I ALWAYS go into dept stores (and have done for years) and asked the sales assistants if they have samples....sometimes you get NO, sometimes you get 1, sometimes you get a whole bag full (Dior, Boots in Brighton thank you!)
The various beauty houses have cupboards full of trial samples, its just a question of asking.
Good luck!Sealed Pot Challenge 5 #1440
