Just thought I'd let everyone know that I just received my first fruit/veg box from the milkman and I must say I'm very impressed by it.

I went for the £14.99 Deluxe Box https://www.milkandmore.co.uk/OA_HTML/ibeCCtpItmDspRte.jsp?section=10112&item=2861146&backLink=xxdcibeNationWideSAPCCtpLeafSctSs.jsp%3fsection=10112ANDbeginIndex=0ANDsecID=10112 and here's what I got -

2 x medium avocados
125g blueberries
1 x medium mango
1 kilo chantaney carrots (although there's one big, normal carrot been sneaked in, weird!)
1 x medium butternut squash
250g curly kale
1 x medium pineapple
250g cherry vine tomatoes
1 x medium cos lettuce

Everything is really fresh so should last a while and was here by 8am this morning. I used to get Abel and Cole boxes and I know you pay extra for the organic stuff but it was expensive for what you got and everything was always covered in mud which I had to spend ages washing off before putting it away.

I'm very happy with what I got and the quality and I will more than likely order again :D

It doesn't seem that much for £14.99 in my opinion. I buy most of my fruit and veg from a local shop and it lasts at least a week, sometimes longer if we don't get round to eating it. Would say it's a good bit cheaper as well but I guess that depends where in the country you are.

You could go to the market and get 15 bowls of veg and fruit for that, there's no potatoes in it for a start. We go through way more than that in a week.

I don't think anyone can deny that fruit/veg would be cheaper from a market or with supermarket offers but my post was really aimed at people who were thinking about having a fruit and veg box delivered.

have to agree with some of the other comments, it doesnt seem very much for £15 even if it is delivered. sure i could get alot more from tesco/asda delivered for that amount of money

I got a box from them once. Total dissapointment and won't bother again. I could have got twice as much of the same stuff for half the price at the shops!
